Robyn Locksley was once an orphan, but now she is a vigilante named Robyn Hood for the city she loves. At least until she is framed for a crime she didn’t commit and declared a criminal. Robyn Hood may love New York, but right now the city isn’t loving her back. Be that as it may, she will use her bow and arrows along with her wit; to find out who is behind all of this.

The story is not ultra-unique, but there is enough of a twist to make it interesting. This issue does a good job of introducing you to the current situation and Robyn’s motivation for trying to protect the city. The pace is good and feels natural. The villains that we are introduced too are a little bland, but there is one villain character with a unique and strange power. Nothing that would make us believe that the good guy isn’t going to win but amusing none the less.

There is some good vigilante vs goon action. We get to see Robyn’s brand of butt kicking in between tranquilizer arrow shots. I like the way the action unfolds in the panels. We get little panels that show small details, this really helps to understand what is happening in the battle.

The artwork is simple and has good coloring. The images are well organized and helps the issues to flow easily. You can understand what is happening in all the panels. There are some panels with shadowing that I feel is a bit much. There are a couple of incidences where the shading around the neck of a character makes it look like she has a disembodied head.

Overall the comic was enjoyable, but the main character and story were a bit cliché. The artwork is good but did have some flaws in the shading. My overall rating is 7 capes out of 10.
